Kaylan Betten

I have always had a passion for art, ever since I could remember. I suppose you could say I was born with a pencil in my hand. From early elementary school, I started drawing mazes, and then into high school I started drawing with graphite pencils. In the tenth grade I won the highest level in the state VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) and was allowed to move on to nationals. In nationals, I got the second highest award and got to attend free art seminars in Houston, Texas. After taking a few art classes in high school, I decided that I wanted a career that was somewhat driven by art and design, therefore I chose architecture. Architecture has been the best career choice for me. It incorporates everything I love about art, while also stretching my creativity with built design. I will continue to stick with drawing and expand my drawing techniques for the many years to come.
